No one steps on site until the phone says it's safe

Vigía is a computer-vision safety system for field crews. Before work starts, the competent person points a phone at the job site: Vigía maps the hazards and the safety perimeter, enforces the controls required by OSHA and your own rules, and checks with a photo that every worker is wearing all the required PPE. If anything is missing, entry is blocked — and everything is on record.

Safety first, always. Vigía does not replace your competent person or your EHS team: it gives them eyes on every site at once, and hard evidence that every control was in place before anyone went in.
Why it matters

Serious incidents are rarely “bad luck”

Behind an electrocution, a trench collapse or a struck-by incident there is almost always a control that wasn't set up or a piece of PPE that wasn't worn at that moment. Today that is managed with paper checklists, trust and occasional site visits.

How it's done today

  • Paper or PDF JSAs filled in “from memory”
  • The safety manager can't be on every site at once
  • PPE is eyeballed and nothing is recorded
  • Each contractor works to its own standard
  • After an incident, it's hard to prove what was done and when

With Vigía

  • Hazards and perimeter marked on the real image of the site
  • Controls generated from the applicable standards, confirmed one by one
  • Photo PPE check per worker: if anything is missing, entry blocked
  • One standard for in-house crews and contractors
  • Tamper-proof record with photos, time, GPS and signature

How it works

Four steps before anyone goes in

Always the same order, and no skipping: until a step is closed, the next one stays locked.

1 · Scan the site. Point the phone (or smart glasses). Vigía tags hazards on the image and proposes the safety perimeter.
2 · Required controls. For each hazard, the controls the standards require and the PPE needed. The competent person confirms each one.
3 · PPE photo. Each worker faces the camera. Missing hard hat, eye protection, FR clothing, gloves or boots: entry blocked.
4 · Entry authorized. Green light, sign-off and a record with photos, time and GPS sent to the EHS office.

See the site the way a safety professional would

The competent person sweeps the site with the camera and Vigía flags every hazard with its severity. Tap one to see the required controls, the PPE it calls for and the standard behind it. The perimeter is drawn right on the image.

PPE check

One photo before entry. If anything is missing, nobody goes in.

The worker faces the camera from 6–10 ft. Vigía checks every item of PPE required for that task and marks it green or red. Both photos — the blocked one and the passing one — go into the record. Slide to compare before and after:

EHS command view

Every site of the day, live

The safety manager sees which sites are cleared, which are being inspected and which are blocked — and why. Every record arrives with photos, hazards, controls, signature and a hash that makes it tamper-proof.

Competent person's phone and EHS dashboard in sync (sample data)

Leading indicators

Blocked entries, most-forgotten PPE, hazards by job type and by contractor.

Audit-ready records

Before/after photos, GPS, time and sign-off. Exportable for audits, insurers and incident investigations.

Contractors on the same standard

Every contractor uses the same app and the same rules — built for multi-employer sites.

Standards-driven

Every control, tied to its standard

Vigía doesn't make up controls: each hazard is linked to the standard that governs it and to your internal procedure. When a standard or a procedure changes, it is updated once and reaches every phone.

Privacy & responsible AI

It checks the equipment, not the person

A safety system has to earn the trust of the workforce. Vigía is designed to respect privacy from day one — in the US and in the EU.

No facial recognition

Vigía detects PPE items and never identifies anyone. Faces are blurred in stored photos — no biometric identifiers (BIPA, CUBI).

A human always decides

The AI proposes; the competent person confirms or overrides. Human oversight by design.

Transparent to the workforce

Workers and their representatives are informed before rollout, with clear purpose and retention rules.

Minimal data, your region

Only what safety requires, defined retention periods, data hosted in the US or the EU.

Vigía does not use emotion recognition and does not score worker performance: its only purpose is preventing injuries.

Built for the field

Works where your crews work

Any phone

Android or iPhone, installable web app — nothing to manage. Optional: hands-free smart glasses.

Works offline

Underground vaults, basements and remote sites: it syncs as soon as there is signal.

AI trained on your PPE

The detector is tuned with real photos of your approved equipment and your sites.

Plugs into your stack

Work orders (SAP PM, Maximo), contractor management platforms and training records.

Secure & auditable

Role-based access, encryption, full audit trail and tamper-proof records.

Learns from every site

Spots patterns: recurring hazards, forgotten PPE, contractors that need support.
